Hi guys. It’s Jackie again. I am feeling a whole lot better. We will stop taking yucky meds this weekend, so I am very happy about it.
Here are some photos mommy took recently. Enjoy!

That’s my favorite sleeping pose. Can you do it?

I am lying on mommy’s hoodie. It’s so comfy!

I am looking out through the glass sliding door… hoping to see some birdies.

Mommy opened the sliding door. We got to catch a whiff of fresh air. Shadow and Flip immediately went up to the screen door and started sniffing.
All right those are our pictures. Mommy has a friend, Margo, who needs some advice on a problem her furry friend Popokie is having. If you could give any suggestions/advice, please leave a comment below. Here is a message from her:
Popokie started not being able to jump…he keeps falling…at first I thought maybe he somehow injured himself when he fell but after awhile it was apparent by the way he was walking he was like drunk and was not eating. He did not hurt himself.
Dr. Estafanous said his body was in good shape for an older cat however his brain wasn’t..the first day that he check Popokie he turned off the light and put on that head thing with a light and looked into his eyes….he might have checked his spine…don’t know for sure however he pulled up his skin…I thought it was because he wanted to see if he was dehydrated?…anyway he gave him a cortisone shot just in case..I told him that Popokie had been falling when he attempted to jump to where his crunchies were or jump up on the chair or couch…We took him back the next day and Dr. Estafanous gave him an IV and a blood test….that’s all that’s been done..my worry now is he is eating more and more but not defecating….a week ago he couldn’t poop because it was so hard…I guess he was really constipated…the Vet said come by his office and get a syringe to give him an enema? I did not want to do that so I gave him some fiber…it was in a capsule..unscrewed the capsule and put some of the contents in some ice cream…he had a little…he did go a little after that….maybe I should do it again? If it’s fit for a human is it okay for a cat? That’s why I only gave him a little and never did it again. What do you think? Any advice would be very appreciated.

Re Popoki — if it was just constipation he was experiencing, I'd say give him some canned pumpkin mixed with his wet food or with some baby food strained meat. The fact that his back legs aren't working well and he's having trouble walking says the constipation may be related to that. It could be a neurological problem or vascular problem (like saddle thrombus) that is affecting his hind legs. Ask your vet if he's checked Popoki for those problems. Best wishes for his recovery …

Jackie, so glad to hear you are feeling good and those pictures of your lovely belly are fantastic=you are really a beautiful girl!!…Open windows are awesome, we're enjoying the fresh air right now too…xo…Calle, Halle, Sukki
Re Popoki: I occasionally give my girls about a capful of mineral oil for hairballs and it also helps constipation…I don't know about the jumping, but it seems there should be more tests so you have an answer…Good luck.
Nice tummy pictures!
Poor Popokie. 'Kaika's suggestion for the canned pumpkin and the neuro/vascular exam are great. I'd ask the vet to talk through the blood test results and also to do an x ray of Popoki's spine and pelvis. He may have an injury that is causing his drunken walking and falls, such as a compressed nerve. It's worth doing to find out what is causing Popokie's problem. Also, add boxes or steps up to where Popokie likes to eat and rest, this will make it easier for him and lessen the risk of injury due to falls. Hope you can get to the bottom of Poppokie's problems soon, he's a lovely cat.

Lovely photos, Jackie!
About Pookie, the first thing that came to mind was a neurological problem, as someone else mentioned. Could be something related to veins and blood circulation too, I guess, but my Chumley died of a blood clot that cut off circulation to his lower body and he couldn't stand up, was literally screaming in pain. From the post, it doesn't seem if there is pain for Pookie. I'd check everything anyway, maybe there is a partial blockage. But to me, it sounds more neurological (or nerve, etc.).
i have to add fiber to one of my cats diet everyday. i sprinkle a little (about an 1/8th of a teaspoon) benefiber on his food. this keeps him regular. i buy it in the grocery store. everyone else has had good suggestions about his jumping problems.
i love how comfortable and relaxed popokie looks all stretched out. so cute!
I totally agree that you should get an Xray of Pookie's back and rear legs or mainly his pelvis. It sounds like he as lost the use of his hind quarters. It could be just a pinched nerve. But I sure would get him back to the vet. And like someone said, to put little ramps out so he can get up to where he wants to go. There are some cat medications for being constipated. I would use those instead of the human stuff. That is really too bad and I hope that Pookie feels better real soon.
Those are great pictures, Jackie!
With regard to Poppokie, I agree that it sounds neurological, especially if he doesn't seem to be in any discomfort. In any case, we'll be purring and praying that the vets can figure it out…
Awww Jackie, I am so so so so glad to hear you are feeling better! Hopefully that will be the end of those yucky meds. You are looking so comfy and so fluffy and sweet and so relaxed doing your favourite sleeping pose! And don't Shadow and Flip look so elegant sitting and staring out like that!
As for Popokie – the vet should have some advice on how to ease Popokie's constipation. I hope he's feeling better too, poor thing. It's not very nice being constipated! Good luck to Popokie and his mummy.
Take care

Those are great pictures of you Jackie! And we agree with the previous advice – pumpkin is good for fiber and it sounds like a neurological exam is in order. WE are wishing them good luck!
Jackie you are looking adorable. I would suggest some pumpkin for Popokie and it sounds like maybe he had a stroke?
Nice to meet you cats! Thanks for visiting our bloggie today.
